Scripps Clinic – La Jolla, CA

Their Challenge
This 300-provider San Diego-based MSO – with five clinic locations and a dedicated business operations facility with 125+ employees - had been leaderless for six months, on a downward financial spiral, and struggling to keep up with rapidly growing accounts receivable.

Their Plan
To get Scripps' reimbursements back on track, CHMB staff worked with Scripps personnel, acting as the interim executive director for the business services office. CHMB led Scripps to reorganize workflow, implement productivity standards, and recruit and train new management staff. CHMB staff also provided "early out" follow-up and appeals service for accounts aged 90 days and older.
